The SBW Basement Waterproofing Warranty
Exterior basement waterproofing is a long-term investment. A dry foundation today should still be a dry foundation in ten, twenty, or forty years. That’s what the warranty is there to confirm.
Every residential waterproofing project SBW completes includes written warranty documentation delivered after the work is done.
What’t Covered
What’s Included in Every Residential Project
Rub-R-Wall Lifetime Limited Warranty
The waterproofing product itself carries a Lifetime Limited Warranty from the manufacturer.
40-Year Workmanship Warranty
Rafael’s work carries a 40-year warranty. If there’s ever an issue with how the job was done, SBW comes back out and makes it right.
Both warranties are provided in writing at project completion, either electronically or in person depending on the job.
One Claim in Nearly Ten Years
In close to a decade of waterproofing work, SBW has had one warranty claim.
That claim was caused by a separate contractor who damaged the waterproofing membrane during later work on the property. It wasn’t a failure of the system. The waterproofing itself held up.
That’s the record this warranty is built on.
The Warranty Stays With the House
The warranty is tied to the address, not the owner. If you sell the home, the coverage transfers to the next owner automatically. No paperwork, no process, no re-registration required.
What Homeowners Should Know After Installation
Exterior waterproofing systems are built to last, but later work near the foundation can damage them. Homeowners should make sure any contractor working near the foundation wall knows that waterproofing and drainage systems are present underground.
Situations that can affect the system include:
Excavation work performed after installation
Contractors puncturing or scraping the membrane
Drainage systems being altered or disconnected
Grading changes that direct water back toward the foundation
Downspout or drainage modifications that overwhelm the system
If you’re planning any landscaping, additions, or site work near the foundation, contact SBW first.
Direct Accountability, Not a Claims Process
If a concern comes up, Rafael comes out personally. He looks at the situation, determines what caused it, and explains the next step.
No form letter. No third-party claims department. The owner of the company comes back to look at his own work.
One Crew Note
One crew handles the full job, from excavation through final grading, which is part of why the warranty holds up. When one team is accountable for every step, there are no gaps to point fingers at later.
